about

***
Demonstrations is a DIY album released by Diaspoura on June 24, 2016 at Redux Contemporary Art Center in Charleston, South Carolina.

Anjali Naik, or Diaspoura, is a musician, visual artist, and activist based in Charleston, SC. After long days of community work, she sets out to reflect on emotions, cope with struggle, and decompress herself in her so-called bedroom studio. Her music-making has served as a self-care tool as she mixes somber lyrics with a healing sound.

Diaspoura's Demonstrations represents complex emotions stemming from occurrences that may have happened yesterday or before her lifetime. It is a manifestation to live through experiences unapologetically and uninterrupted.
